Rare Bird

I've been seeing a lot of feather paintings of late, and I think they're lovely. Only thing is..they're all of animals and some of them, sadly, verge on kitsch.
So I got a cockatoo feather and painted this..some sort of strange 60s/art nouveau inspired..thing? I wanted to work with the colours of the feather - shame to paint over the entire thing, if you're going to paint a feather you may as well work that into the piece.
Sulphur Crested Cockatoo wing feather..I don't know what the laws are surrounding this, but they're all over the ground in Australia.
Just acrylic paint. I didn't put sealer on this cause I didn't have any, but it still wasn't as hard to paint as I was expecting.
