This horse is a mare called Miss Finland. I found the image in a sports section when I was looking for newspaper to cut a pattern out of, and I thought it was pretty nice.
That was late last year, I drew the sketch and didn't get around to painting it until Thursday, where I begun. I was sick and completely bored out of my brain, and I don't like starting things and never finishing them... This painting tested me, but I always liked a challenge! The halter was particularly hard (I don't really draw horses with tack much so I'm not very clued into it) and the water... That wet bit on her nose made me want to scream because I was so convinced I'd screwed it up... Watercolour, a shitload of time. In progress pictures and the sketch are on my site: [link] |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
